Welcome to Crane Arts

Collectively, Crane Arts is filled with artists, architects, designers, conservators, framers, and in general some of the best and brightest of Philadelphia's creative community.

Crane Arts is a Philadelphia art complex composed of:
· The Crane Building - Our studios & suites
· The Ice Box - One of Philly's largest project spaces
· The Stable - Currently undergoing renovations.
· The Green Space - Large open air patio.

Crane Welcomes Indigo Arts!

Indigo Arts Gallery has moved into the first floor of the Crane Arts Building. Indigo Arts has exhibited international contemporary, folk and ethnographic art in Philadelphia for twenty-two years, the last fourteen of them in Old City.

Indigo Arts opened for a preview on Second Thursday, June 12th, and will be open for regular hours (Wed. - Saturday, 12 - 6pm, Other days by appointment) later in June. Currently on display for the summer, selections from the Indigo Arts  collection of international folk and fine art: Cuban paintings, Haitian steel-drum sculpture and Vodou flags, Oaxacan prints, and West African barber-shop signs.
