Hunter MFA

The Hunter College Master of Fine Arts degree program is located near Times Square in New York City, and is part of The City University of New York. This exhibit includes a selection of work by twenty-five current students who will be graduating next year. The Hunter MFA Program is multi-disciplinary with concentrations in Painting, Sculpture, Photography, Clay & Casting, Works on Paper, and Combined Media. Currently the program has more than 130 students, each maintaining a studio at the Hunter MFA Building at 450 West 41st street in Manhattan. Student typically take between 2 – 3 years to earn their degree.

The Department of Art at Hunter College has a distinguished history that includes many notable faculty members such as Robert Motherwell, Tony Smith, Roy Decarava, and Robert Morris. Some of Hunter’s recent alumni include Julia Jacquette, Diana Cooper, Paul Pfeiffer, Omer Fast, Wade Guyton, Marie Losier, Jules DeBalincourt, and Sarah Crowner to name a few.
